Sometimes, even with all of the advances and technology available today, people may find themselves in a situation where they are needing to replace an entire arch of teeth all at one time.
This can be an emotional time for many people as the thought of replacing all of their teeth conjures up a single image of a set of dentures on the nightstand in a glass of water. This is no longer the only solution! Modern technology has given us so many other options!
An implant supported denture is similar in design to a traditional denture, although most often much more streamlined and less bulky. Where a traditional denture requires good bone height and suction to stay in place, an implant supported denture snaps securely and snugly onto dental implants. Generally we use between two and four implants to obtain maximum stability and function. An implant supported denture, while very secure, is removable and should be removed at night and for cleaning.
All on four is a permanent implant procedure designed to replace an entire arch of teeth (or both) all at one time. It is a non-removable implant solution consisting of between four and six dental implants and a permanent prosthetic.
Each type of full arch implant solution is aesthetically beautiful and much more functional than a traditional denture.
